Save Your Cucumbers - Easy Asian-Style Pickles

When your vegetables aren’t as fresh as you’d like, you can always turn them into delicious pickles and give them a second life. Here, I used a 500ml jar along with some older cucumbers. Later, I’ll show you how to use them in an actual dish.
What you need
- 3 cucumbers
- 1 cloves garlic
- 200ml water
- 100ml rice vinegar
- 1–4 tsp sugar, depending on how sweet you like it
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp Gochugaru chili flakes (optional)
What you need to do
- Slice cucumbers, then place them in a jar.
- Slice the garlic and add it in the jar.
- In a small pot, combine the water, rice vinegar, sugar, salt, sesame oil, and chili flakes.
- Heat over medium until it comes to a boil, then immediately pour the hot mixture into the jar.
- Seal the jar and let it sit for 1-2 days before using! Enjoy!
